Van Vleck ISD Announces New 2017 Bond Website

Bond information now available on VVbond2017.com

VAN VLECK, TEXAS – Van Vleck ISD has established a website in an effort to educate voters about the proposed 2017 Bond. The website, www.VVbond2017.com, provides information on projects included in the proposed bond referendum, frequently asked questions, tax information, and hours and locations for Early Voting and Election Day. The website also includes a “Resources” tab with downloadable copies of print materials the district will soon make available at all of its campuses.

"Our goal is to ensure every VVISD voter feels informed about the 2017 Bond. We are excited about our new bond website and the resources it provides for our entire community," said John O’Brien, VVISD Superintendent. “This website is just another avenue through which VVISD is making information about the 2017 Bond easily accessible to the public.”

The VVISD Board of Trustees unanimously called for an $88.2 million bond referendum on June 28, 2017. The proposed 2017 Bond would provide the district with a new elementary school; new middle school; new high school; renovations to the existing auditorium, gymnasium, and Ag building; and upgrades to the football stadium.

Early Voting will begin on October 23 and run through November 3. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.

The mission of the Van Vleck Independent School District, through a solidified partnership with the community, is to innovatively challenge each student to achieve maximum potential and success in a positive, safe, and stimulating environment. Van Vleck ISD and all campuses met the state’s highest standard for student performance in the 2016-2017 school year.
