Welcome to our web page. My name is John R. O'Brien. I am Superintendent of Schools for Van Vleck ISD. I grew up in Sargent, Tx. and graduated from Van Vleck High School in 1983. I later graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Education from The University of Houston at Victoria. I have been in education for 22 years, and have spent the last 10 years in Van Vleck ISD. One year as principal of E. Rudd Intermediate, eight years as principal of O. H. Herman Middle School, and one year as Director of Operations.
Our students, staff, parents and community are the best in the entire State of Texas. I am truly honored and unbelievably excited to be Superintendent for VVISD. If I can ever be of service, please don't hesitate to contact me.
