Ozarka “Every Drop Counts” Earth Science Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for students pursuing degrees at a four-year college or university in the field of earth/environmental science. Examples of earth/environmental science fields include but are not limited to: Geology, Water Resource Management, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Environmental Education, Forestry, Oceanography, and Ecology.

STP Educational Incentive Program Application

Due no later than April 22, 2019

TxDOT Grant Program

This is for economically disadvantaged students who are graduating this year and 

  •  plans to attend an accredited four-year Texas public or private college or university as a full-time student (minimum 12 semester hours); 
  • declares an intent to major in civil engineering or a department approved operational business discipline and;
  • agrees to work for the department for two years immediately following the date of the student’s receipt of the baccalaureate degree

  • WCJC Harvey Relief Program/Financial Assistance

    Wharton County Junior College was awarded the 2018 Emergency Assistance to Institutions of Higher Education Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The grant is designated to help institutions located in an area affected by a disaster or emergency. The grant period is from 10/31/2018- 12/31/2020. The funds from this grant will be utilized for three activities: outreach, enrollment recovery efforts, and direct financial assistance for impacted students.

    The students that apply and qualify will be eligible to receive the following:

    1. Assistance with enrollment
    2. Assistance Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
    3. Career Exploration Tools
    4. Degree Plan / Transfer plan
    5. Enrollment and registration assistance
    6. Financial assistance for unmet need
