Students that attend extracurricular activities must be in school dress code, this includes no earring for male students, and no holes in pants, students out of dress code will be asked to leave the event.
- On February 12, 2020 only, we will be switching breakfast break and first period. All students are to report to breakfast on February 12 when the bell rings, first period will begin at 8:10 and extend through 9:03. we will resume normal schedule the remainder of the day.
Students interested in being on the yearbook staff, applications will be available during the month of February from Mrs. I. Ryman
Matagorda County Clerk, Stephanie Wurtz, is currently recruiting VVHS students who would like to work as an election poll worker for the March 3 Primary Election. Students must be available during polling hours which is 7am to 7pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. They will be paid at a rate of $8 per hour and must be able to provide a valid Texas ID and social security card for payroll purposes. Two mandatory training sessions will be held on February 13th and February 14th that must be attended. Students may receive documentation from the County Clerk that they may turn into the HS office to fully excuse their absence for election purposes.

Seniors, we will have our cap and gown portraits on February 6th. Everything will be provided
Seniors, there are several scholarship applications available right now, including Jackson Electric, Educator 500, TDECU, and Andrew Vasek Memorial. The sooner you get these filled out and turned in, the better
This is the last week to sign up for next year's cheer squad. Sign up sheet and tryout applications are in the front office. Applications are due to Mrs. Pena or the front office by February 5th at 3:30pm.
Prom sign up is in the front office. If you are interested in receiving a t-shirt for your prom favor, please sign up by Monday, February 3rd.
Seniors, there will be a trip May 12th to Splashway. If you are interested in going, please sign up with Mrs. Bludau by February 7th.
Anyone wanting to run track see Coach Blackmon at the field house. We will start practicing next Tuesday February 4th if you have all of your paperwork on file with our athletic trainer.
