VVISD Update: (9-1-17)
I hope this message finds you all safe and on the road to recovery. Even though Hurricane Harvey is long gone, much of our community is still dealing with its’ aftermath. From flooded homes to impassable roads, getting to our school district can be difficult. With that said, Tuesday, Sept. 5th will be a staff workday for all VVISD employees to help get our classrooms and buildings ready for the first day of school, and Wednesday, Sept. 6th will be the first day of school.
Our buses will be doing our usual routes unless the roads are closed or still have high water. We cannot drive through high water with our buses. Please be patient with our bus times due to everything we have all been going through the last week or so. We hope by getting school started on Sept. 6th will help our students, parents and community get back to some sense of normalcy. Blessings to all and hope we see all of you next Wednesday for the first day of school. If you have any questions, please contact any of our schools on Tuesday, September 5th.
