Governor Greg Abbott announced earlier today (Friday, April 17, 2020) that all public and private schools in Texas are closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Of course, this only means our facilities will remain closed. Van Vleck ISD remains committed to providing online learning support for the remainder of the scheduled school year. We will also continue to offer Grab-N-Go meals for all students at our two locations.
Van Vleck ISD is strong and we will not falter in our efforts to do our best for our students and our community. We will provide more information as it is appropriate. Our administrative team has already begun looking at options for seniors and graduation ceremonies. We are continuing to discuss the best options under the circumstances. We will communicate our decision once it has been finalized.
