Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, K-8 Mathematics and Literacy activity sheets will be included with the Grab-n-Go lunches. These activity sheets are not to be turned back into the school. Instead, they are for students to keep and assist them with skill building, as well as providing an opportunity for them to be engaged academically. The district is not mailing home packets as the transferring of paper documents poses a risk for spreading the COVID-19 virus.

Recommended Age Appropriate Schedules For Our Students
Staying at home all day can be hard, especially for your student. Here are the recommended schedules to keep your student healthy and stimulated.

Click here: Recommended Schedule for Our 9-12 Students
We recommend providing structure for your student. At school, students get used to their days following a certain structure. Communicating to your child that they will have a structure to follow for the next several weeks will set expectations and set everyone up to make the most out of this situation.
We know students need breaks and cannot do long periods of independent work. The schedule below reflects best practices for independent learning. The shared hyperlinks are recommendations. You may use your own resources as well.

As Van Vleck Independent School District is closed in response to COVID-19, we are committed to continuing to support your students' learning. The district is offering these recommendations for students to engage in learning while they are away from school.
The recommended activities stated above do not take the place of regular classroom instruction; however, they can supplement student learning at home.
These activities are to provide optional opportunities for student learning while they are away from school.
We encourage our families to stay strong as we are all in this together.
This week is a transition time as we are making resources and virtual activities available. With the ever changing updates from the state and federal entities, we are carefully considering all of our options.
We need your help! Parents/Guardians...Please fill out online survey below. We want to be able to provide ALL of our students resources. Once the surveys are complete, we will have a better idea of what each household needs as well as what information and guidelines that our educators will be providing for our students and families. More information will be made available very soon.
