VVISD IS STELLAR

On Monday, April 8th, 2024 we will experience a total solar eclipse in North America which happens when the moon passes between the sun and the earth completely blocking the face of the sun. The sky will get dark as if it were evening. This is a rare event and it provides a great learning experience for our students to engage with the natural world! Our teachers have been incorporating this into their lesson plans so that our students are ready to experience this event. (Weather permitting). The district is providing safety viewing glasses for all of our students and staff. Parents/Guardians, please talk with your student(s) about the importance of keeping their safety viewing glasses on when viewing the eclipse.
