Cell Phone Use

Possession and Use of Personal Telecommunications Devices, Including Mobile Telephones Elementary and Intermediate Schools Elementary and Intermediate students are not permitted to possess or use such items as telecommunications devices (Cell Phones), pagers, radios, CD players, tape recorders, camcorders, DVD players, cameras, or electronic devices or games at school anytime. If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated. The student/parent may pick up the confiscated telecommunications device from the principal’s office for a fee of $15 on the next available school day. For safety purposes, the district permits secondary school students to possess telecommunications devices, including mobile phones.
